The Dean's Honours Program
The Dean’s Honours Program (BS06) is an accelerated study program for high-achieving students with an OP 1-2 (or equivalent rank). An honours degree signals to employers that you’re someone with exceptional ability, motivation and commitment to your field. You’ll gain valuable research and analytical skills that you can apply in your professional career and differentiate yourself from your peers in the employment market.
Or, if you’re interested in an academic career, the Dean’s Honours Program is the perfect pathway to PhD studies. You’ll expand your career options through exposure to the world of research within the Faculty of Business and can become an independent researcher and expert in your own right.

The Dean’s Honours Program Scholarship
The Faculty of Business awards a generous scholarship of $20,000 for students who are offered and accept a place in BS06 Bachelor of Business (Dean’s Honours Program). The scholarship is paid per semester over the three years of the course.
Eligibility
You do not need to apply separately for this scholarship. However you must meet the following criteria to be considered eligible:
- Have completed your secondary studies in Australia
- Apply for a place in BS06 through QTAC and meet the admission requirements for this course
- Not hold any other merit-based scholarship at QUT (except an Equity Scholarship)
- Meet the on-going academic performance and course progression requirements of the Dean's Honours Program.
