Business Academic Excellence scholarships are designed to give you a head start on your university study in Business and acknowledge the hard work and outstanding results you have achieved at high school.
By attracting the best business students to our programs, we ensure that you will have an engaging academic experience during your time here. It also keeps QUT business graduates at the forefront of employers’ minds by continuing to produce leaders in business both domestically and internationally.
The Business Academic Excellence Scholarship is valued at $5000 and paid in two installments in your first year of study.
Eligibility
To receive the Business Academic Excellence Scholarship you must:
- Have completed Year 12 at an Australian secondary school in 2009 (or 2008 with no other university studies undertaken)
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident
- Have achieved an OP 1 or 2, or equivalent rank (99-98 in 2008)
- Be enrolled full-time in BS05 Bachelor of Business, BS07 Bachelor of Business (Accelerated) or a Business double degree at QUT, and
- Not hold any other merit-based scholarship at QUT (except an Equity Scholarship)
As an OP 1-2 student you may be eligible for other prestigious University or Faculty scholarships such as the Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship, CPIE Scholarship, or the Dean’s Honours Scholarship. We would encourage you to seek further information regarding these more financially beneficial programs.
Notification
You do not need to apply for this scholarship. If you meet the eligibility criteria you will be contacted by the Scholarships Officer in the Faculty of Business once you are enrolled in your Business course.
