Units

Delivery modes

HHB031 Mandarin 1 will be offered in Semester 1 and 2 2009 and HHB032 Mandarin 2 will offered in Semester 2 and in Summer Semester 1 2009.

HHB033 Mandarin 3 will be offered in Semester 1 2009 and HHB034 Mandarin 4 will offered in Semester 2 2009.

On-campus summer program

Intensive Mandarin classes are held on Gardens Point campus in the summer program each year.

HHB031 Mandarin 1 runs for about five weeks during November and December.

HHB032 Mandarin 2 follows on for about five weeks in January and February.

HHB030 Mandarin for Chinese runs over four weeks during November and December. There are 12 contact hours per week with three hours of classes.

Classes are of four hours’ duration and are held on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday.

In-country component

The in-country semesters are of sixteen weeks duration each and involve 300 hours of instruction per semester.
