Entry levels
- Japanese 1 is an introductory unit designed for students with little or no previous experience in the language.
- Japanese 3 is for students who have studied Japanese to Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Students who have spent a year in Japan after completing 5 years of Japanese study at high school usually enter the program at Japanese 5.
