Study French as:
Enrolled undergraduate student
You can study French as:
- up to 8 units in a single degree, e.g.
- Bachelor of Business
- Bachelor of Education (Primary or Secondary)
- Bachelor of IT
- Bachelor of Journalism
- a second teaching area in the Bachelor of Creative Industries/Bachelor of Education
- a minor (4 units) in degrees that allow for students' choice, for example, Human Movement, Justice Studies, Law, Psychology, and some degrees in Built Environment and Engineering.
- most degrees allow for individual electives
Enrolled postgraduate student
Some faculties allow students to study a language as part of their post-graduate courses. Students considering undertaking Honours and PhD programs should consult French staff regarding supervision.
Visiting student
If you wish to study only French, you can enrol as a visiting student. You will enjoy the same status as a QUT student, and will receive a student card allowing you to use the library and access university computers. You will receive an official transcript of your results with credit that you can transfer to a degree at a later stage.
To enrol as a visiting student, complete a Visiting Student form available at the Student Centre on any campus or download V Form.
