A New Bachelor of Business for 2009
The Faculty of Business has undertaken a major review of the Bachelor of Business course.
The review was prompted by a number of factors including:
- Feedback from our international accreditation processes
- Reports from the Business in Higher Education Collaboration Council and the Australian Business Deans Council on surveys of employer needs in business
- Our own Faculty of Business survey of Queensland Employers
- A desire to better integrate and embed graduate capabilities across the Business degree
- Our own surveys of employers, students and staff indicating a preference for greater depth of knowledge in primary majors plus greater flexibility for students to design their own program and have increased access to interdisciplinary studies.
This review has been completed and a new degree, the BS05 Bachelor of Business will commence in 2009. All continuing students will be given the opportunity to transfer to the new course to take advantage of the changes.
