Book Assistance for Students
Book Vouchers and Other Financial Assistance
The Faculty of Business makes provision each year for book vouchers for first year students from specific equity groups. These vouchers are promoted and administered by the Faculty of Business Equity Committee. Currently, the Faculty provides vouchers to the value of $100 to each first year student entering via the Q-Step Program and the Oodgeroo Unit. Some additional funding is also available to students in financial crisis on an 'as needed basis'.
Book Loan Scheme
The Book Loan Scheme helps to alleviate some of the financial burden of purchasing textbooks on students from low-income backgrounds. Books on required or recommended reading lists may be loaned to a student in each semester and books are allocated by order of request.
Donations
Staff or students who wish to donate textbooks to the Faculty's Book Loan Scheme should forward textbooks to Level 1, B Block (Student Enquiries Centre). Books should be in good condition and be current required or recommended reading within the Faculty of Business. All donations are greatly appreciated.
Supporting Indigenous Students
Text Book Vouchers
Each year the Faculty of Business provides first year Business students who have entered QUT via the Oodgeroo Unit, with $100.00 worth of textbook vouchers to assist with the cost of textbooks.
