At QUT examinations are either centrally timetabled and organised by the University examinations section, or arranged by your lecturer and run as a School based assessment.
Exams that are centrally coordinated appear on QUT Virtual. Details of School based exams appear on the OLT site and in the week one document. Mid semester examinations are usually School based assessment.
The dates of exam blocks for the final exams are published a year in advance and students must keep this period free to be available for exams.
Information about examinations can be viewed on the QUT: Student Services site.
Other information about examinations can be found in the Faculty Undergraduate Guidelines (PDF, 790 KB), and the Postgraduate Guidelines (PDF, 1 MB).
If you are particularly concerned about your performance in exams extra assistance is available firstly through the teaching staff in your unit (lecturer and tutors’ consultations) as well as through the Counselling Service (free for students) in Y Block and Teaching and Learning Support Services (TALSS) in the Library.
Further enquiries about deferring an exam or lodging special consideration applications can be made at the Student Enquiries Centre in B Block, phone 3138 2050, email bus@qut.edu.au
