Scholarships in Partnership with Industry

The Australian Centre for Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies (CPNS) in partnership with sponsors, has negotiated a full and half Scholarship scheme for 2009 conditions and travel grants.

Instructions

The scholarship may only be applied to the following units up to a total of 48 Credit Points and only undertaken as part of the BS39 Graduate Certificate in Business (Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies):

GSN481  Philanthropic and Nonprofit Frameworks of Governance
GSN483  Ethics for Philanthropic and Nonprofit Organisations
GSN484  Management for Philanthropic and Nonprofit Organisations
GSN485  Legal issues for Philanthropic and Nonprofit Organisations
GSN486  Finance and Accounting Issues for Philanthropic and Nonprofit Organisations
GSN487  Marketing for the Nonprofit Sector
GSN488  Fundraising Development Principles
GSN489  Fundraising Development Techniques

CPNS scholarship payments are paid directly to the student after the end of the successful completion of Semester.

CPNS encourages students to consider the following options when considering undertaking study with an awarded scholarship:

FEE-Help is available through the Commonwealth Government and further details are found at www.goingtouni.gov.au. Information on the scheme can be obtained from the QUT Student Services website.

It is anticipated that applications for the scholarships will not be considered until after university admission procedures have been completed.

Closing Dates

Semester 1: 06 March 2009

Semester 2: 03 July 2009

Eligibility

Scholarships are available to part-time postgraduate students undertaking the BS39 Graduate Certificate in Business (Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies)

Selection Process

Selection will be based on a number of criteria including economic need, academic ability, career goals, community activities and interests. Other conditions will be determined by individual sponsors.

Value

Scholarships are offered as a partial reimbursement of the cost of tuition fee to students fee relief to students.
