Wednesday 14 February 2007
10.30 a.m. - Noon
QUT, Gardens Point campus, B Block, Level 2, CPNS Boardroom
The aim of this seminar is to gain an understanding between the research team and the UCA on the approach to developing and implementing the fleet safety interventions, and to introduce the research project to wider NGOs. Part one of the seminar will discuss how the research to date could inform the development of fleet safety interventions. In particular, members of the UCA will have the opportunity to discuss the interventions, and provide suggestions on how the fleet safety interventions could be best implemented within the agencies. The second half of the day is designed to inform NGOs of the importance of work-related driving safety, progress of the project, and other issues to consider in the fleet setting, such as reporting issues, road rage, and liabilty issues. These latter issues were discussed at the preliminary nonprofit fleet safety seminar in November 2006.
Presenters:

Bevan Rowland, CARRS-Q
Cameron Newton, Senior Research Fellow, Australian Centre for Philantrhopy and Nonprofit Studies
