Phillip Desbrow FFIA, FAIM, CFRE led the Leukaemia Foundation as its Queensland, and then national CEO for nearly 20 years. A gifted leader and fundraiser, Phil was an inspiration to many people. This annual lecture celebrates the contribution that Phil has made to the profession and his passion for encouraging education and practical research in philanthropy and fundraising.


Presenter:

Pamela Cooke, ACFRE

Working today as a development and search consultant, Pamela brings more than 20 years experience in corporate community relations and fundraising. Formerly the community relations manager for the large Clorox Company, Pamela also worked in senior development roles with Stanford, the California Academy of Sciences, the University of Virginia College of Arts and Sciences and the United Way of Santa Clara County. Volunteer board roles have embraced the Association of Fundraising Professionals Golden Gate Chapter, the SEMI Foundation, the Institute of International Education, and the Fulbright Association. Pam holds a certificate in corporate community relations from Boston College, has completed Stanford University’s Management Development Program and Advanced Management College, the Coro Community Leaders Program and the Environmental Forum of Marin. Pam spent 14 years as a Big Sister.
