Presenter:
Professor Helmut Anheier, Director, UCLA Center for Civil Society
There has been a dramatic increase in the number and influence of international nongovernmental organisations. Professor Anheier will address two issues:
- What are the drivers behind this expansion?; and
- What are the implications for management and policy?
He identifies new hybrid forms of organisations which are challenging traditional international nonprofit organisations. Five scenarios are discussed as to the future development of international nongovernment organisations.
