Jane Schwager

Jane Schwager is the Chief Executive of Nonprofit Australia, an independent organisation established to assist the nonprofit sector in Australia be more cost effective and innovative. She was previously the Chief Executive of The Benevolent Society responsible for the “Sydney Leadership” program and held senior positions in the NSW Government. Jane serves on a number of boards including Nonprofit Australia, Social Ventures Australia, Indigenous Festivals of Australia, The Taxation Board of Australia, The Sydney Medical Research Foundation. She was also chair of the Board of Taxation working party established to review the workability of the draft Charities Bill.

David Thompson AM is the CEO of Jobs Australia Ltd, the national peak representative and services organisation for more than 250 nonprofit providers of employment and related services for unemployed people. David is the founding Board member, and current Deputy Chair of NESA, and a member of the DEWR/NESA Working Party. David is also an ACOSS Board and Executive member, and its Principal Policy Adviser on employment, education and training and youth affairs issues and its current representative on the ATO’s Charities Consultative Committee; Chair of the Jobs Australia Foundation; Chair of the Common Wealth Network for People Centred Development; Chair of National Roundtable of Nonprofit Organisations; Chair of Community 21 Limited, and its representative on the Community Sector Enterprises board; and director of Beyond Empathy.
