Kel Ryan
Kel Ryan is a recent graduate of the Masters program. He has been an active member of the RSL for many years and is currently the Deputy State President of the Queensland Branch of the RSL. He currently Chairs the Kindred Organisations Committee which draws together many of the major ex-service organisations in Queensland with the aim of projecting a unified view to govermnent on the needs of the veteran and ex-service community. He sees this as a major step forward for the RSL as it seeks to regain it place in the veteran and ex-service community. Kel spent 23 years in the Army during which time he did two tours of Vietnam, served in Papua New Guinea with the Pacific Islands Regiment, with the SAS Regiment and and other line units. He is a graduate of the Australian Army Staff College. He is keen to develop his thesis further and give a strong, considered voice to the issues that are important to the veterans and ex-service community in Australia
