Invitation & Welcome to New Students

Dear New Student

QUT Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies – Alumni Chapter

The first graduates and continuing students from the Centre of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Studies Graduate Certificate Course have established an Alumni Chapter.

The Mission of the group is

"To provide support and to enrich the networks of new students and graduates of Philanthropic and Nonprofit Studies at QUT. By doing so, the alumni will enable third sector professionals to help and be helped to make a difference.”

Our first dinner was held on 26th November 2002 celebrating the launch of the Centre, and was attended by 150 people. Hosted by the Alumni Chapter and the Faculty of Business we were privileged to hear from Rev Tim Costello who gave an inspiring speech. Our second dinner was held on 26 November 2003 with Mr Robert Fitzgerald as our guest speaker.

We would like to invite you to become a member of our Alumni Chapter. As a member you are able to expand your networks, gain support and encouragement from graduates and other students and enjoy the opportunities to develop long-term contacts in the Third Sector.

At this stage there is no membership or joining fee, so we encourage you to take up the opportunity of becoming a member now to benefit from the networking through our functions and meetings.

You can contact me on email a.dillgrantham@qut.edu.au or telephone 3138 2950.

I look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to our alumni chapter.

Yours sincerely
