Recent Successes
Various academics and students within the EIC have received both academic and community awards. Here is just a snapshot of some of our team's recent successes.
Professor Per Davidsson: 2007 AGSE Bygrave Award, Best Paper Entrepreneurship, Theory and Practice "Interpreting Performance in Research on Independent Entrepreneurship. Research Grants:2006-2009: ARC Discovery Grant, ($455,000) for CAUSEE (Comprehensive Australian Study of Entrepreneurial Emergence) project with Dr. Paul Steffens.
Professor Rachel Parker: Research Grants: 2006-2007 ($88 000- $58 000 ARC, $30 000 AIC) A cross-national comparison of novel market-pull technology transfer programs which facilitate research organisation commercialisation through dynamic SMEs (with Dr. Damian Hine)
Dr Amanda Elam: (Postdoctoral Research Fellow) Kauffman Foundation Grant Award, Entrepreneurship PhD Intensive June 2006, Fundraiser and recruiter for 2 Durham Habitat for Humanity houses, $60 000 each. 2004 and 2006, Non-profit board member. Girls on the Run of the Triangle, Chapel Hill NC. 2005-present
Dr Paul Steffens: Neeley Entrepreneurship Program Best High Potential / Fast Growth Paper Award, Entrepreneurship Division, Academy of Management Conference (Honolulu), August 2005. Research Grants: Industry Sponsorship NAB and BDO-Kendalls, ($190,000) 2007-2009.
Dr Siri Terjesen: Research Grants: 2006 Kauffman Research Grant $10,000; 2007 CPA Australia Research Grant $30,000
