Research for the Real World

QUT believes that the future of research lies in offering research training that meets the real-world needs of students, industry and the community. This means our research must be collaborative, multidisciplinary and with a global and commercial focus.

The Faculty of Business conducts leading business research that impacts on both the domestic and international research and business communities. It hosts two Research Centres of Excellence and three primary research programs that inform business, government and the third sector. Schools within the Faculty conduct research in their own specialised discipline areas.

With a rich research environment, QUT’s Faculty of Business opens up the opportunity for research students to build networks with business, government and quality research professionals. The Faculty supports its higher degree research students from Research Masters and PhD through its Research Support Office.

Research collaborations which involve commercialisation of QUT intellectual property, technology transfer or other QUT intellectual property transactions are managed by qutbluebox, the commercialisation company for QUT.
