Brief bio
Tony received his PhD in Economics for the University of Adelaide in 2005. His main research interests are in the areas of Open Economy Macroeconomics and International Finance with an emphasis on exchange rate regimes and monetary policies in emerging markets generally and Asia in particular. Tony has authored and co-authored several papers on optimal monetary policies, exchange rate regime classification and the policy response to capital flows.
Prior to this, Tony worked at the National Australia Bank in a variety of analysis and risk management roles. Tony teaching interests have centred around the following: International Finance, Economic Principles, Financial and Monetary Economics and Macroeconomics. He has taught at undergraduate, postgraduate and honours levels. He has also taught in Australia and in Singapore.

His current research interests and activities are:
Clevo Wilson is currently a lecturer in the School of Economics and Finance, Faculty of Business, Queensland University of Technology. He obtained his Phd from the University of St Andrews, UK. He has a M.Phil from the University of Cambridge in environment and development and a MSc from the University of Glasgow in economic theory. Clevo’s research interests are in environmental, ecological, agricultural, development and tourism economics.
Clevo has published extensively in a wide range of journals, some of which are interdisciplinary in nature, nevertheless focusing on economic issues, mostly relating to the environment. In 2005 and 2006 the following refereed journals have published or have accepted papers: Contemporary Economic Policy (2) Ecological Economics, International Journal of Social Economics, Environmental Management, Environment, Development and Sustainability, Maritime Studies, Journal of Social Sciences, Anthrozoos, Bird Conservation International, Biological Conservation, Economic Analysis and Policy, Journal of Environmental Management, Journal of Nature Conservation, and Journal of Global Environmental Issues.
Clevo was a chief investigator of a large joint ARC (Discovery) grant in 2003 entitled Economics of Conserving Australian Tropical Wildlife: An Analysis of the Role of Economic Valuation, Property Rights and Commercialisation. Clevo is also a chief investigator for an ARC linkage grant entitled Managing the Social, Environmental and Economic Impacts of High Density Living within Inner Urban Sub Tropical Environments (2006-2009).
