Career Summary
Dr Sakurai joined QUT in mid 2005. She previously worked as a research analyst in the Australian Institute of Criminology where she undertook a number of research projects closely working with government agencies and PriceWaterhouse Coopers.
Prior to that she worked as a postdoctorial fellow in the Centre for Tax System Integrity (CTSI) in the Australian National University, where she accomplished a number of research projects on tax compliance in collaboration with the Australian Taxation Office.

Research Interests
Dr Sakurai's research interest is primarily in the areas of comparative studies of human resource management, risk management, and corporate governance.
She is currently engaging in a collaborative research project concerning expatriate management in Australian firms in China.
