Career Summary
Paula McDonald graduated from a PhD in the area of organisational psychology and human resource management in 1994 and is currently employed full-time in the School of Management, QUT. Her research interests are in the areas of employment relations, gender and employment, careers, work-life balance and work and popular culture. Paula lectures in research methods at post-graduate level. Paula also has a health background, having worked as a registered nurse and clinical psychologist in hospitals and health clinics and has conducted research in public health and medical education at the University of Queensland. She has published 15 journal articles in employment and health-related fields and regularly presents her research in public forums and the media.
