PhD Scholarships in Management and HRM

QUT's School of Management offers one of Australia's leading PhD programs developing the competencies essential to a senior management or academic career.
The School of Management aims to graduate students who have made a significant contribution to their field through original research, who have a thorough knowledge of their broader discipline, who have both quantitative and qualitative research capabilities, and who have the communication and practical thinking necessary to be effective in their chosen careers.

Entry requirements for scholarships
If you hold an Honours Degree (first class or minimum of 2A) or Masters by Research in a related field, you are invited to apply for a PhD program scholarship.
Outstanding financial support and facilities
Recipients of scholarships will receive up to $26,000* per annum tax free to study for three years. (*Standard university scholarship stipend with school top-up together with casual employment opportunities.)

The School of Management currently also provides financial support to PhD students to a limit of $600 per full-time year (to a maximum of 2 full-time years). This consists of $500 research assistance/conference leave support per full-time year (to a maximum of 2 full-time years) and $100 printing and photocopying support per full-time year (to a maximum of 2 full-time years). Financial assistance for part-time PhD students is pro-rata of the above. Conference funds are only available following successful completion of the Confirmation of Candidature process.
Full-time students are provided with modern, well-appointed office space (which includes access to a desk, computer and telephone). There are break-out areas and meeting rooms where supervisors and industry partners can meet with students. PhD discussion groups and small classes are also held in the meeting rooms. These premises offer students a work environment conducive to study and progress and demonstrate a continuing commitment to the PhD program.
Duration of PhD
The PhD normally requires a minimum of three years full-time study (or the part-time equivalent).

Master of Business (Research)

In this program you can pursue advanced studies in your field. You will develop your capacity to conduct rigorous independent research, as well as undertake advanced coursework that integrates conceptual and practical issues within your discipline.
Entry requirements
Entry to the Master of Business (Research) program is a Bachelor of Business with a minimum grade point average equivalent to 5.5. To study at Research Masters level your Bachelor of Business will include a major in the area in which you intend to study.
Outstanding financial support and facilities
Research Masters students enrolled through the School of Management are currently provided with financial assistance to a limit of $600 during the 96 credit point thesis component of the course. This consists of $500 research assistance/conference leave support and $100 to cover printing and photocopying for research Masters students whilst they are enrolled in the 96 credit point thesis.

Full-time students are provided with modern, well-appointed office space (which includes access to a desk, computer and telephone). There are break-out areas and meeting rooms where supervisors and industry partners can meet with their students. Discussion groups and small classes are also held in the meeting rooms. These premises offer new and continuing students a work environment conducive to study and progress and demonstrate a continuing commitment to the postgraduate program.

The Master of Business (Research) normally requires three semesters full-time study (or the part-time equivalent).

Bachelor of Business (Honours)
An Honours degree signals to potential employers that the recipient is someone who has exceptional ability, motivation and commitment to their field. It also clearly demonstrates to potential employers an ability to think analytically and to understand significant project management.

Entry to the Honours program is a Bachelor of Business with a minimum grade point average equivalent to 5.5. To study at Honours level your Bachelor of Business will include a major in the area in which you intend to study.
Outstanding financial support and facilities
The School of Management currently provides students enrolled in the School’s Honours Program with financial assistance to a limit of $1000 during the 48 credit point dissertation component of the course. This consists of $750 earned by the student for undertaking research assistant activities nominated by the supervisor (such research assistant activities exclude work on the student’s own Honours Program) and $250 for printing and photocopying for students whilst they are enrolled in the 48 credit point dissertation.
Full-time students are provided with modern, well-appointed office space (which includes access to a shared-desk with a computer and telephone). There are break-out areas and meeting rooms where supervisors and industry partners can meet with their students. Discussion groups and small classes are also held in the meeting rooms. These premises offer new and continuing students a work environment conducive to study and progress and demonstrate a continuing commitment to the Honours program.
Duration of Bachelor of Business (Honours)
Honours normally requires two semesters of full-time study (or the part-time equivalent).
