Career Summary

Janice How commenced with QUT in August 2008 and prior to her appointment was Professor and Head of Finance at the University of Auckland. Her research and teaching interests are primarily in corporate finance. Her main research areas include equity raising (IPOs and SEOs), analyst forecasts, fee modeling, voluntary disclosure, and corporate governance. Janice's research has been recognized internationally through numerous research awards. She was also awarded (twice) PACAP (Sandra Ann Morsilli Pacific-Basin Capital Markets Research Centre) Research Fellowship. Janice's research has been published in refereed international journals including The Journal of Business, Journal of Accounting Auditing and Finance, and Pacific-Basin Finance Journal. Janice is an honorary member of Golden Key International Honor Society. She is the founding Director of AORE in Asia-Pacific Capital Markets at Curtin Business School.
