Career Summary
Anup has been in academia since 2005. Prior to that, he served in management positions with large banking and financial services organisations in India and USA for more than eight years. Anup’s current research explores investment strategies for long horizon investors like pension and endowment funds. His research in the area of pension and superannuation investments have been published in renowned peer-reviewed journals and covered by international media including the Financial Times. His pioneering work on next generation lifecycle funds with Michael Drew was recently presented at the joint public hearing of United States Govt. Dept. of Labor and Securities Exchange Commission.
Apart from lecturing in undergraduate and postgraduate finance units at the School of Economics and Finance, Anup also regularly teaches the core statistics unit in the MBA and Executive MBA program run by the Brisbane Graduate School of Business (BGSB). He is a certificated associate and life member of the Indian Institute of Bankers, and member of Financial Management Association (USA) and Brisbane Executive Club.
