The School provides opportunities for students in research courses to conduct rigorous empirical studies on a problem that they identify in the areas of advertising, marketing public relations, and international business.
Research Courses in the School generally include a course of supervised instruction (usually four units with an emphasis on research process and methods) and culminates in the production of a thesis.
The capacity to develop, conduct, and evaluate a variety of forms of research is an essential part of the foundation to academic and many professional careers. Given this context, the School seeks individuals who through their research will make contributions to theory and practice in the disciplines represented in the School.
