Meet the Business Leader evening 2008

'Cadetship and Meet the Business Leader Evening' on June 4th, 2008.

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia runs an annual cadetship event for students to help support the CA Cadetship program. Over 15 employers attended this evening in addition to recruitment agencies and leading Universities. Students were able to find out more about the career opportunities in Chartered Accounting, as well as cadetship roles.

The event is tailored to Year 10 and 11 students with the ‘Meet the Business Leader’ session held concurrently with the Cadetship Evening. This free event is held at the Brisbane Convention Centre. Leading industry professionals offer their experience in the field to help students learn more about accounting. Four main areas of accounting are discussed; audit, tax, business advisory and insolvency/forensic accounting. Students have the opportunity to speak with a Chartered Accountant from public practice, commerce or government to discuss these four areas and ask general career advise.

QUT provides a stand at the cadetship exhibition for students to find out information on their business study options.
