Candidate of the Year for Queensland 2007
ICAA Chartered Accountants: Candidate of the Year
Rhiain Garrihy won the CA Candidate of the Year in 2007. This award is recognition of an outstanding achievement given the high calibre of candidates who completed the Chartered Accountants Program this year. Rhiain completed a QUT Bachelor of Creative Industries/Bachelor of Business with an Accountancy double major in 2003.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants introduced Candidate of the Year when the new Program was developed in 2000. The award is presented to the candidate in each region who has attained the highest average mark of all candidates and completed the Chartered Accountants Program in the past 12 months. Winners are presented with a certificate, plaque and $1000 cheque at the new member ceremony held in each region.

- Achiever Work Experience Program: For first year students for vacation work with leading accounting organisations.
- Vacation Employment Program: For second and penultimate year students for paid work between 2 - 12 weeks during the summer holidays.
